Global Hospitals, Bengaluru Helps 52-year Old Kenyan Woman Back to her Feet

Margaret Wanjiru, a 52-year old Kenyan, was born with a dislocated hip joint and underwent various procedures to have it correct but to no avail. Despite repeated failures, Margret continued to fight her condition and finally found the solution that he had been waiting for all her life – at BGS Gleneagles Global Hospitals, Bengaluru. She underwent a complex surgery and is now back on her feet. This is a testament to her sheer willpower and our small contribution in giving her the joy of movement. In the past she underwent a hip replacement surgery in 1997 without much success and then a decade later met with an accident that compounded her troubles. She’s been looking to have a corrected surgery for the last ten years and her wait ended when she reached BGS Gleneagles Global “The hospitals I tried to contact were quoting high price and it was then I heard about BGS Gleneagles Global Hospital and decided to give it a chance,” explained Margret. The surgery was done by a team of doctors, led by Dr Basavaraj C.M. and Dr Santosh Hakkalamani. This story first appeared in the Bangalore edition of Deccan Chronicle on 13th October 2016. Link:
