Department of Rheumatology
The Rheumatology team aims to provide comprehensive and individual care for patients with autoimmune systemic connective tissue disease, arthritis, musculoskeletal pain disorders, and disease of bone. The key person is the consultant rheumatologist who is qualified and has the expertise in managing the various autoimmune systemic connective tissue disease and other related diseases of the bone, joint, muscle and soft tissues. Rheumatologists aim to maintain or improve the quality of life for the patients. They work within the wider multi-disciplinary team, keeping the patient as the central focus of all care planning and delivery.
