Patient Responsibilities

While you are a patient in our hospital help us to serve you better by doing the following:

  • Providing accurate and complete information about your medical complaints, past illnesses, hospitalizations, medications, pain, and other matters relating to your health.
  • Following the treatment plan recommended by those responsible for your care.
  • Your actions, if you refuse treatment or do not follow the health care team's instructions.
  • Paying your bills promptly
  • Being considerate of the rights of other patients and hospital staff.
  • Seeking information, and in the event if you have questions, asking them.
  • Notifying a member of the health care team if you do not understand information about your care and treatment
  • Reporting changes in your conditions or symptoms, including pain, to a member of the health care team
  • Keeping your scheduled appointments or to cancel them in advance if at all possible.
