Accomplishments

The Institute has performed first Simultaneous Heart and Kidney-SHK transplant, a series of sequential liver and kidney transplants, in India.

The PD Centre is recognized worldwide for its achievements. It is the only ISPD recognized PD Training Centre for nephrologists and nurses in India.

ICU Nephrology is another area of excellence with all modalities of CRRT being performed on a daily basis. It is one of the few centers in the world to offer both MARS and FPSA Liver Dialysis.

The Institute has performed:

• First Simultaneous Heart and Kidney (SHK) transplant in India
• Simultaneous Liver & Kidney (SLK) Transplant
• A series of Sequential Liver and Kidney transplants

The Peritoneal Dialysis Centre is recognized worldwide for its achievements.

Critical Care Nephrology is another area of excellence with all modalities of CRRT, SLED being performed on a daily basis. The Kidney Institute at Global Hospital is first in Hyderabad, India, to have 2 Dialysis units.
