Accomplishments

Global Hospital’s Orthopedic and Joint Replacement Institute is one of the first institutions in India to pioneer and popularize minimal invasive orthopedic surgery. Having performed a record number of procedures in a decade with outstanding results, the institution is making its mark in the field of orthopedics and joint care. Some of its achievements are:

• GLOMORE – Global initiative for movement restoration has been launched recently to provide wholesome care for people affected with arthritis.


• A Masters course in Total Knee Replacement was conducted in Global Hospitals & health city in the presence of Dr. Fredrick Bucher M.D and Dr. Michael Pappas Ph.D. – designers of world famous “New Jersey Knee” on 21.08.11


• Limb saving surgeries in malignant bone tumors


• Providing Arthroscopic Fellowship training for young Orthopedic surgeons


• Management of Spastic Children( cerebral Palsy and Post Encephalitic sequelae)


• Organizing cadaver training programs ,Fundamental research in collaboration with local & foreign universities in Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Collage disorders and crystal induced Arthritis


• Co-Operation and R &D in development of Bio-Integra table implants, which need to be removed.

It is providing patients with a hope that they can lead a normal life with their friends and family. This is, perhaps, the institute’s greatest achievement.
