Accomplishments

The Institute of Neurosciences & Spinal Disorders has done significant work in the past, treating ailments like Transphenoidal Surgery for pituitary tumor and spinal fusions for congenital traumatic disorders. The institute is the first in South East Asia to use Neuronavigation, which the set of computer-assisted technologies used by neurosurgeons to guide or "navigate” within the confines of the skull or vertebral column during surgery. Other achievements are as follows:

Treated multiple patients with Intravenous TPA( Actilyse) who were brought to the hospital within 3 hours
Developed own protocol for plasma exchange in patients with GBS, which results in excellent outcome as well as significantly reducing the cost
Excellent management of status epilepticus with 90% success rate
Treated largest number of stroke patients with 97% success rate
More than 500 cervical Spine injury patients recovered completely
90% severe head injury patients leading normal life after successful surgery & treatment
All spine fusion patients are able to walk after 2 hours post surgery
